Terms and Conditions
Consultations, Quotes and Payments
On accepting a quote and paying a deposit, the client is agreeing to these terms and conditions.
After an initial consultation, a proposal and quote will be drawn up, detailing the initial costs of your wedding. There is no charge for the first consultation. A second consultation will be scheduled and held by Sakura Florist approximately 3 months before your wedding where any changes, additions or subtractions to your original proposal and quote will be discussed. You must make yourself reasonably available for the second consultation. A final proposal will then be sent and, on your approval, the final invoice issued. Once the final proposal has been accepted via email, any additional changes a) cannot be guaranteed and b) must be agreed in writing to avoid any misunderstandings.
Payment
On accepting a quote, a £200 non-refundable deposit is paid to book your date. The final invoice balance, less the £200 deposit is due 4 weeks prior to the wedding. Any subsequent adjustments to the final invoice are to be paid before the wedding date.
For avoidance of doubt, any additions or subtractions made in the second consultation will not affect the £200 deposit.
Substitutions
As fresh flowers are a living product there are occasions that a particular flower may be unavailable or differ according to season. Whilst every effort is made to source a particular flower, we reserve the right to substitute flowers of similar style and value. All fresh flowers are subject to availability and stringent quality checks.
Equipment Hire
Sakura Florist can provide equipment for you to hire and can also source props and sundries on your behalf. Any items hired remain the property of Sakura Florist. Collection or delivery of such items will be arranged prior to your wedding. Any broken, damaged or missing items would be your responsibility and the value of the item/s must be paid for in full. A security fee may be required for certain hired items. In this case, all fees will be clearly outlined in your quote and final invoice, ensuring no hidden fees.
Change of dates or cancellation
Cancellations made more than 4 weeks before the wedding date will receive a full refund, minus the £200 deposit. If the cancellation is less than 4 weeks before the wedding there will be no refund given. Providing there is more than 8 weeks’ notice given, there will be no charge for changes to the date of the wedding.
Limit of Liability
In the unlikely event that Lorna Kenny is injured or becomes too ill to provide the flowers for the wedding, Sakura Florist will make every effort to secure a replacement florist. If this situation should occur and a suitable replacement is not found, responsibility and liability is limited to the return of all payments received. Sakura Florist takes the upmost care with handling, transportation and preparing the flowers, however if the flowers be lost, stolen or destroyed for reasons beyond Sakura Florists’ control, responsibility and liability is limited to the return of all payments received.
Lorna Kenny trading as Sakura Florist is a fully insured sole trader and carries public liability insurance up to £2,000,000
